Release of Joint Issue of Kalsh ISSN-2348-3458

         The Joint Issue (16th- 18th ) of Kalash Magazine bearing ISSN 2348-3458 was released on 14th January, 2014 by Shri S.B. Ota, the Regional Director, Central Region, Archaeological Survey of India, Bhopal. On the occasion a small programme was organized in the office of the Superintending Archaeologist, Temple Survey Project(NR), Bhopal.

Celebration of World Heritage Week, 2014 & Cleanliness Drive

         Temple Survey Project (NR) of Archaeological Survey of India observed World Heritage week (19th-25th November, 2014) at Village Badodh Pathari, Dist Vidisha. During this, various activities were organized to mark the occasion. During the programme, students from various local School namely Gyan Deep Madhyamika Vidhyalaya Pathari, Government Senior Secondary Boys & Girls Schools, Pathari took part with a great enthusiasm.

         Dr. S.S. Gupta has been retired on 30th Sep 2014 and Shri Zulfequar Ali, Superintending Archaeologist, Regional Director, Central Region Bhopal has taken over the additional charge of Temple Survey Project(NR), Bhopal.

Celebration of Hindi Pakhwara 2013

         Hindi Pakhwara was celebrated from 05.09.13 to 20.09.13 jointly with the Regional Directorate (Central), Bhopal of the ASI. Smt. Sadhna Tripathi, Director Karyanvayan, Raj Bhasha, Bhopal was the chief guest of the inauguration on 05.09.2013 while Shri Harish Chauhan, Pariyojana Adhikari, Raj Bhasha Karyanvayan was invited as chief guest of the Valedictory function on 20.09.13.
During the Pakhwara various competitions include typing, poem recitation, extempore speech etc, were organized among the officials of both the offices and the winners were rewarded. Dr. Narayan Vyas former officer of the Archaeological Survey of India was the special guest of the occasion.

Welcome to new Superintending Archaeologist Shri S. S. Gupta

         Shri S. S. Gupta, Superintending Archaeologist has taken over the charge of the Temple Survey Project ( NR), Bhopal as a new Head of the Office on 14th August 2013 fore noon. Shri S.S. Gupta born on 15th Sep., 1954 has been serving in the Archaeological Survey of India since May, 1977. He, despite of earlier researches in Indian pre-history is also keen in paying attention to the temple art & architecture. He is committed to the discipline and he has assured us to take further task of temple studies wherein it has been left by his predecessors.

The International Museum Day is celebrated each year, the Advisory Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) defines a specific theme for International Museum Day. Every year since 1977 International Museum Day is organised worldwide around May 18 under a particular theme.

From America to Oceania including Africa, Europe and Asia, this international event has confirmed its popularity.

In recent years, International Museum Day is beeing celebrated almost 30,000 museums that organised activities in more than 100 countries.

The Temple Survey Project ( NR), Bhopal celebrated 150th years anniversary of the Archaeological Survey of India at archaeological museum, Chanderi, distt. Ashoknagar of Madhya Pradesh.
