Architectural Survey of temples in Sagar district, M.P has been carried out under the direction of Dr. S. S. Gupta assisted by Dr. M. C. Joshi, Asstt. Archaeologist, Shri L.K. Bhagchandani, Shri S. K. Srivastava, D/Ms Gr-I and K.R. Malviya, Photographer Gr-II. The objective of this project was to make an inventory of the temples including their documentation and study of art and architecture in all its manifestations. The work also includes comparative study with those of other regional styles in this region as well as rest the of North India. Detailed architectural surveys of temples in Sagar district has revealed many more new temples and their remains, built during the regime of various dynasties. Systematic survey of temples through detailed in-situ data, digital documentation, Auto-CAD drawings including plan & elevation would set a landmark in this discipline.

In a nutshell, a data bank on temples (unprotected /Centralllay Protected/ State Protected) pertaining to the Sagar district has been prepared.

The temples include, Siva temple at Pali, Durga temple, Tkitoria, Siva temple at Tinsua, Siva temple at Mandi Bamora, temple at Beniaka , temples at Uldhan and temple at Pithoria. They are dated the 6th century C.E. to the to 18th-19th century C.E.
